Raise Their Voices: Oppose a Military Strike on Iran
Join us in urging President Obama and other US officials to oppose a military strike on Iran on human rights grounds.
Many prominent Iranian human rights lawyers, activists, journalists, and artists expressed concerns about a potential attack by the United States or its allies. They warned that a military conflict would deepen Iran's human rights crisis, provide a pretext for the full militarization of the state, and even rally many reform-oriented citizens to the side of the government. It would strengthen the regime while undercutting the human rights and democratic aspirations of millions of ordinary Iranians. Washington should heed these concerns.
